In a unexpected collaboration that breaks traditional forecasts, the game developer has unveiled an digital collaboration between Assassin's Creed Shadows and the renowned anime series Attack on Titan. The unexpected holiday event operates from November 25 through December 22, providing free extra story content for Shadows players.
Mysterious Adventure Revealed
According to the official announcement, "An unusual encounter draws heroes Naoe and Yasuke into a fresh adventure, where hints of banned ceremonies and fearsome metamorphoses echo through the obscurity." The plot introduces a "strangely dressed woman named Ada" who tasks the characters with journeying into the Crystalline Cavern—a key location from Attack on Titan—to liberate her ally from a secret sect.
The adventure focuses on "bizarre trials and a monstrous foe" and is open to all players who have unlocked the Yasuke character.
Iconic Places and Transformations
The teaser features the Hidden Temple from Attack on Titan reimagined as the Crystal Cave. This significant location was formerly where the Reiss royal family transmitted the Founding Titan ability through generations. The preview concludes with a dramatic scene showing a character, probably the captive, morphing into a Titan that towers over Naoe and Yasuke.
Exclusive Rewards and Extra Material
Players who accomplish the mission will acquire an exclusive katana alongside multiple objects secreted throughout the area in secret chests. The update also includes purchasable Attack on Titan item packs, featuring:
