Beloved Star Pat Finn, Known For Roles in Friends and The Middle, Passes Away at Age 60.

US actor Pat Finn, who featured in iconic programs including Friends, "Seinfeld" and The Middle, has passed away at the age of 60.

The skilled improv artist died at home in LA on Monday following treatment for cancer beginning in 2022, as reported by reports.

"Pat saw everyone as a friend - solely future friends he hadn't encountered," his loved ones stated in a message.

They added that he had "lived his life fully - with joy and exuberance".

A Notable Career on Screen

His initial on-screen part was on the George Wendt Show in the mid-90s, where he played the titular character's brother.

He was also seen in a regular part on Murphy Brown from 1995 to 1997.

He appeared as Joe Mayo in Seinfeld in 1998, depicting a social organizer famous for delegating unpleasant chores to his guests.

In the late 1990s and early 2000s, he had guest spots on a variety of hit series, like:

  • The King of Queens
  • Friends
  • "That '70s Show"
  • "House"

Finn was perhaps best known for portraying Bill Norwood in "The Middle", starring in eight seasons between 2011 and 2018.

His work in movies include "It's Complicated" and "Santa Paws 2".

Beyond the Screen

Away from his acting parts, Finn was a skilled improviser and served as an educator at the Colorado university, where he was a faculty member.

He was part of a comedy group of six called "Beer Shark Mice".

"He guided, supported, and advised countless students throughout the years and it's nearly impossible to find anyone anyplace who has an unkind word to say about him," his loved ones expressed.

Paying homage, fellow actor Richard Kind said there was "nobody more kind, gentle, and humorous, authentic human being you could encounter".

"Always positive, helping you be funnier and better. A wonderful father and man," he posted online.

Pat Finn is leaves behind his wife Donna, his three kids, and his mother, father, and brothers/sisters.
