Former President Trump announced on the weekend that he has extended an invitation the family of a Guard member killed last week to come to the executive mansion.

He added that he contacted her family and they were “devastated”.

Both she and Wolfe had been working with the military unit as part of the president’s national effort to assist law enforcement in Washington DC.

She behaved with quiet strength, a contagious smile and a optimistic attitude that encouraged people around her,” Hankins, the head of her alma mater, informed the Associated Press. “She was kind, considerate and always eager to support those in need.”

Authorities have accused a 29-year-old Afghan national with one count of murder and charges of assault with intent to kill while carrying a weapon.

The incident prompted the Trump administration to halt refugee claims and cease issuing visas to owners of passports from Afghanistan.

The airman, a native of Martinsburg, enlisted in early 2019 and is a 2019 graduate of Musselman high school, as reported by the AP.

“She had a lot of compassion and she certainly had fortitude,” he told the audience at the memorial. “Though her time was cut short, she has created a legacy that’s going to endure.”
